"Freewomen"?

There has often been the query raised around female Freemen being permitted to call themselves Freewomen. While amending the formal name of our organisation from “the Freemen” to “the Freemen and Freewomen” of the City of Oxford was not suggested (it would require a Common Hall vote and, if supported, a Privy Council approval), the informal use of Freewoman is considered possible.
