David Manners - Hon. Archivist to the Freemen - Rest in Peace

With sadness we report the passing of David Manners at the end of July this year. He died as a result of complications following a fall.

David was Hon. Archivist when I joined the Committee. He enjoyed being a Freemen and was extremely loyal.

David was at university in Oxford and went on to be a key member of the Health and Safety Executive as we know it today in the North East. His favourite hobby was sailing his boat in coastal waters. We last saw David at this years St Georges Day Service and Lunch. He is survived by his wife Catrina and his two sons.
