The Secretary writes:-

"Froemen are reminded of the procedure of placing a Bond in the City Chest and of the advantages of so doing. If a Freemen lives outside the boundaries of the City and any son of his is born outside those boundaries, that son is precluded from taking up his Freedom, unless his father has placed a Bond in the City Chest. All Freemen who have never taken this step, and particularly those living outside the City boundaries, are advised to do so. There is little trouble involved - only the executing of a Bond - and the cost is negligible - a fee of 15/-.

Any Freeman wishing to take this step should communicate with me and I will make the necessary arrangements with the Town Clerk."
